 Automatic Crash.

PostSubject: Automatic Crash.   Sun Sep 10, 2017 10:26 pm

So, I'm working on a new IT server called Sugar Howlers.
But, I have one issue.
Whenever I go into the game and click the "New Game" button, I always crash.
Is there something wrong with the coding or something like that?
Please, if anyone has anything I can try, I would appreciate the help ^^

'New Game' is for making/testing presets or adding in a campaign. If you would like to make an account on your server you'll have to click on 'multiplayer'.

+ dont Forget to run the Server .exe´s für loginserver and gameserver, so your game can actually "connect" to somthing. even if you want to test it local.
I dont remember the local IP adress atm thou.

new game is for the singleplayer/campaign mode
to fix it open the campaigns.cfg file in your client folder and change 'Empty or crash' to this

Campaignfile.campaign

and just edit the values to whatever you want your campaign to be

Ok, so, I clicked "Multiplayer" and tried making account. But, it didn't connect. I've opened the loginserver.exe and the gameserver.exe and I still couldn't connect to the server....
(I feel so noob, I'm sorry)

is the ip displaying on loginserver/gameserver the same as the one you have in the compile? (eg yours or the original test ip)?

if you changed the server ip or ports and havent port fowarded correctly or somethin then i think it could be that

I don't really know what that means....
Do you mean rebuild the loginserver gameserver and game?
Other than that, I have no idea what Port forwards means ;3;

Depending on your router you'll have to forward the ports to both the router and your firewall.
I don't know what router you have and all router brands are different. Search up online how to portforward your modem/router. You may also find youtube video's.

its not the local-test IP adress. you have aIP set up that tries to connect to a running Server.
I am not at home atm, so i cant look for the local one right now.

if you're running a test server with a custom ip/port and haven't port fowarded correctly first then that should be in your compile:


just replace main_server_ip, main_server_port and server_port with this

rebuild your solution and try to log in again, should be good

fyi you don't need to change your server IP in the source to run a loopback. you just need to have localip.txt in your client folder with 127.0.0.1 inside

I highly suggest that when you are ready to get the server up and running for the public (if you plan to release to the public) that you do so with a reset IP address and passwords since you have displayed them here.

For security's sake and all, I highly recommend it. ^^;
