Is anyone here of the current C++ Knowledge to tell me where within the source code I might locate what determines how your character interacts with the ground and heightmap?
I have not yet seen one server be able to solve the problem of your character doing this. I know it's in there somewhere. I need to find out where.

Are you talking about real world physics like gravity effects?
A lot of the issues are limitations within the Ogre Engine.
Remember IT servers are using a much older version of Ogre.

Yeah, pretty much. Like, in FH, where you can't run up a wall while stuck halfway in it. Surely the two versions of Ogre couldn't be that far apart? If they are, I am sorely tempted to tackle trying to update it.

I think most people have just accepted said limitations of the engine. But personally being able to prevent players from climbing a 90 degree wall without using collboxes would be great.

If you get anywhere with this, and I wish you good luck with it, do share :)
