PostSubject: coding issue with aggressive critters   Fri Aug 12, 2016 6:49 pm

My friend is making an aggressive critters code and they want to test that message in chat when the critter spawn before they actually work on it to try to make the code

the message in the chat does not appear when critter is spawned and there is no message in chat and nothing in ogre.log

Any tips? did they put the code in the wrong place? should it be in a different place?

the "==true" isn't necessary. isAggressive means true, !isAggressive means false

from what i understand, using the spawn command doesn't call that function. it calls sendCritterCreate. that function is for natural spawns

try turning up the spawn rate on the particular critter and see if it happens naturally

what part of the code is it when critter chases the player after player has tried to attack it. Like when you attack a critter and run away, the critter will run after you. where in the code this is ?

because the goal of aggressive critter is the critter to chase after the player when you run near it

MagixCritter.cpp

Code:
void MagixCritter::updateChase()
heads that section.
