This probably sounds really silly, but I wont properly learn without asking sooo.

How exactly do you make weather files? I've poked around in the  coding of some of the oIT ones and sort of get it, but I just don't understand which bit of coding does what or what all the options are. Or where certain things go, etc. I know you need a particle made, so after that what comes next?

Also, is there a way to change the color of the sky for a single map? Preferably not a single color constantly, but for each time transition like day and night. (Or also just for a single color constantly too).

And uhm locking a specific map to a set time would be nice to know too if that's possible.

So if someone could explain or just list out the coding and what each thing does it'd be super, super appreciated <3 or just shoving me in the direction of a guide would be chill too. I couldn't find anything via forum search.

1- (ehh i had a tut on oit but now i cant find it, i'll have more time to rewrite it tomorrow ;3 )

2-yes. lol with custom skyfader weathers. multi-colors are a little more complex but still doable as well.

3-yes. using:

[FreezeTime]
1200

the 1200 is the time of day you wish the map to be frozen at. anywhere from 0 to 2400.

You can look at the files weathers.cfg, *.weather and weathercycles.cfg. (media/weather)
Weathers.cfg defines weather effects (particles) - the particle itself, its position, sound of weather.
*.weather are the scripts that define sky states (effects, coour) in different moments of time ( you can define different periods or a constant weather). weathercycles.cfg declares for the game which cycles (defined in *.weather files) to use.
