I've tried opening and extracting OgreCore.zip with Winzip, it wouldn't work, I tried simply extracting regularly and that would not work either. I also checked the resources.cfg file and it has all that is needed in it (which is [Bootstrap]
Zip=media/packs/OgreCore.zip).
I tried running the game as administrator, and that would not work either.
Anyone willing to help? It would be lovely.

Simple: Dont extract it. Leave it as zip

OgreCore.zip _must_ be in the media/packs/ folder

It indeed is and always has been. This problem occurred ever since I had first compiled it; so is there possibly an error in the compiling?
All I had edited (thus far) into the solution was the max amount of items, max party members, max stash, admin & mod names, server password, and the XORkey. Though the compile was successful for me, might there have been something I needed to adjust or add in?
I've tried all of the other possible answers and solutions to this problem, and none of them seem to be working.

The compile doesn't copy the media files into the game folder. Successful means just that the game was compiled
