PostSubject: Can Cisco Routers Host A Server?   Tue Aug 05, 2014 12:04 pm

Hi, my friend wants to host my server 24/7.
What I did:
1) Put her Hosting Computers IP into the Source Code.
2) Re-built it, ect.
3) Give he the Server Files, GameServer, LoginServer, Data.
4) We forwarded her ports. < Picture.
5) Then she opened GameServer and LoginServer.
6) Then I tried to go on the game and tried to make an account and it said:

Please help. ;-;

Is her IP Static?
Otherwise, she will cannot host.

You both may also try to use dnsdynamic.

And what is Dnsdynamic? (And thank you for replying.)

Yes, it means that her IP doesn't change every day(like me :C).

Dnsdynamic is a site for host your game.
As well, you paste your IP on it and then paste the Dnsdynamic page in the Solution.
You may check in Nowe's compiling tutorial to do it.

Did you put the same IP as you did for the portforward into the source? If so, the game will be unable to connect. Have your friend find their external IP by simply going to google and searching "IP" - Google will show them their external IP, which you then need to put into the game source.

Go to:https://www.dnsdynamic.org/
Create an account and log in.
Create "add a new domain".
Make the domain as you wish, after that, it will make you place a IP address(don't edit that, the External IP is already placed, but, verify it in a "what's my IP" site).
Once the domain is finally created, copy and paste the domain's link in your solution in the IP address part.

There you go.
